Oktober hielt Lutz Niethammer die Key Note zum Thema "Gegensätzliche Perspektiven auf die KZ-Häftlingsgesellschaft. - Erfahrungen mit Forschungen über Kapos in Buchenwald" im Wissensturm der Volkshochschule Linz.

Internationale Konferenz Beyond camps and forced labour: current international research on survivors of Nazi persecution im Imperial War Museum in London unter Teilnahme von Gerhard Botz, Alexander Prenninger, Regina Fritz, Irina Scherbakowa, Barbara N. Wiesinger, Melanie Dejnega und Imke Hansen statt.

November fand die Eröffnungsdiskussion "Humanity and the Experience of Violence and Genocide" im Erwin Schrödinger International Institute for Mathematical Physics (ESI) in Wien statt. Von 28.-29. November fand der internationale Workshop des Mauthausen Survivors Research Project ebenfalls in Wien statt.
